Into a New Year

It was a wonderful year for us.

I will love looking back to remember this year.

I am excited at looking forward to new adventures.

I love that we are healthy and happy.

I love that we can enjoy each day as it comes.

I love that there will be many happy days ahead!

Claire turns 3 today.

Claire is 3 today.

A trip to the aquarium is planned,

baking and decorating a pink cake,

as well as just having fun like

all little three years old should

have.

Seeing her on Face Time

gives us the opportunity to share in her

special day.

Things to make...

It seems that my

coffee always gets cold when I

am planning new things to make or do.

Lots of new projects on the go to take me into the New Year.

Our Grand Children's Christmas...

Alexnader in Australia,

Claire in Vancouver.

Christmas to us is all about seeing how much

fun the grand children had at

Christmas time.

As you can see, they had a wonderful

time.

Crafty times ahead...

I received this

"Walk in the Woods"

felt kit for Christmas.

A perfect kit to take along and quietly sew.

Perhaps a new ornament for Claire's next Christmas.

This kit is another great kit from Alicia Paulson of "Posy gets cozy" , the same one where I bought the bunny rabbit pattern from.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you all.

We are off on our little Christmas adventure,

lunch and a hike.

It is going to be a sun shiny day here in AZ.

I hope you will have a special day.

A new use for a vase...

I was so pleased

when the red candles fit so perfectly into

my favourite white milk glass vases.

The wide bases keep the tall candles

from tipping over.

Paired with white carnations,

they make a simple

Christmas decoration.

Simple, Elegant, Easy = Perfect!

Vintage treats..

How sweet it is,

cookies in a thrifted vintage

Fire King Opal White Bread Pan.

Ornaments from Pottery Barn.

Our sweet little snow angel having fun in the

Vancouver snow.

Feeling under the weather.

It is raining,

it's overcast and I am feeling somewhat the same.

However, I know I will feel better soon.

A cold does not last forever.

Love this wall paper of Snow Globes

from

"Gathered" by Mollie Makes.

It makes me feel better just looking at them.

My scarf is finished....

I bought this ball of sugar cane yarn

last spring when our knitting

group went to

Prescott, AZ.

Finally, after a few of my own design

elements were added to this

very simple pattern, I have finished it.

I must say that I will be very happy wearing

it to keep me warm.

Loving chalkboard....

I have always loved chalkboards.

Jim built me a wonderful chalkboard in my craft room back in BC.

These first 2 photos made up on my Ipad,

the rest from Pintrest,

where there are many many free printables.

Just having some fun....

The Antropologie's fox is on the right.

My thinking was that I could make a fox....

However, no orange felt was found in the house..

Making do with what I have in the house

is the most fun I can have..

So here is my handmade version of

Mr. Fox.

A gray felted sweater, a red Christmas tie as well as white winter pants

makes this little fox a new treasured keepsake.

Thank you my dear Christa for helping me out with Foxy's tie!

On our way home from dinner,

I stopped in to JoAnn's.

Some orange felt came home with me for the

next version of

Mr. Fox!

Anthropologie

A visit to the

Anthropologie store is a visual delight!

Here are a few of the marvellous things I saw!
