Crafting, journalling...

Back to writing in my journal and doing a bit of crafting after

a weeks absence.

It is really rewarding to write down my thoughts

that are just mine alone.

Sitting at the pool in the early morning is a lovely

way to start my day.

Writing in my journal makes the day or week that has just

gone by more seem to relavent.

I bought a new wooden bowl in El Valle to compliment

the one I bought last year. It is wonderful for holding my

crochet bracelets and necklaces.

It quickly became my favorite bowl.

My new bowl!

The bowl that I bought last year.

Remember to explore....

Go explore,

paddle a canoe, go for a hike, ride a horse,

go camping, go for a sleighride, go fishing, throw in your flyrod,

walk the beach, raft a river,

ride your bike, write in your journal,

paint a picture,

record the memories, go have fun!

Working on my journals....

Today I took the time and finished

the three journals

I am taking to Panama.

I have a good collection of ephemera,

that I have collected over the years

to give my journal a personalized look.

What good is collecting all these

wonderful postcards, wallpaper,

ticket stubs, playing cards if you never get to use them?

I sewed all around the edges to keep them in place.

I am so happy how they turned out.

The beautiful stamped papers are from Geninne that I bought on her Etsy.com in 2010

Panama

When you travel...I feel you must always be aware that you are
a guest in a different country
 and as a guest
you must show respect for their people and their cultures..
being respectful of how you dress, speak and take photos..
being polite, courteous, and respectful is all part of what
I believe you must have in your personal internal carry on...
it will bring you much happiness and unexpected joy!

The last of the AZ. journals..

Notice the heart, it came from a sock that was a gift from my cousin Gabby in Switzerland. I loved the edelweiss, so I just cut it out of the side of the sock and had stored it away for further use and here it is on my last handmade journal before we leave.

Birds seem to be a recurring theme of mine right now.

Words from my British Country Living magazine, and a chance to look at things from a different prospective.

I always try to think outside the box..who knew????

Embellished post card sewn to the from of the journal with all kinds of button, pearls and of course some glitter.

Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them?
