At the moment it is pouring rain,
but all week we enjoyed such lovely warm weather as well as
perfect water temperature in the pool.
We love our new condo and all the amenities it has to offer.
Here are a few photos I took over the weekend.

Our Aussie friends had to go home early
because their 8 year old son Bailey
got stung badly by a jelly fish.
I won't post the photos of his wounds, but just to tell you he
had multiple visits to the hospital and a 4 hour surgery to stitch up
some of the wounds.
They had to fly back today to continue his treatment and more surgery.
He loved my friendship bracelets, they had to cut them all off his wrist
when he was in the hospital.
We visited him in the hospital and I made several more for his ankles.
This morning I made some more for him and his brother Cooper to wear.
They were a wonderful family and we will miss them.
Jeremy and Julie are wonderful at
taking and sending pictures of Claire.
I will be amazed at the change in her when I see her
once again in March.
I am so glad we FaceTime together each weekend.

Exploring around our resort leads to many surprising
little discoveries.
A new restaurant, tucked away in an alleyway,
a footpath leading thru another resort on the water.
Spirit houses, ponds, flowers,
the small Thai houses in small local streets and lanes.
It is a lovely way to spend an hour or so.
It's quiet, on the beach, has several restaurants, a beach bar,
thick lounge cushions, beautiful pools
and so far, no loud people.
The beach is so much wider here, so we can walk as soon as the tide recedes.
We are planning on exploring the little side streets in the next few days
to see what new little restaurants we can find.
No major adventures planned here until we head south to Koh Samui
in a month from now.
However, we are always open to do something spontaneous.
To all of you who love the snow and where you are,
I am happy, truly happy for you.
But I was born with a suitcase heart and there are just too many places
I still need to see to stay in one spot too long.
I can't seem to get that song out of my mind.
I just love how much passion Adele
has put into that song.
Seems like the sunrise is a perfect time to listen to her
music and that song.
Having the opportunity to travel and see other part of Thailand
is fascinating.
With the Thai visa system, you have to exit the country every
two months on a multiple entry visa.
So our friends invited us along for an overnight trip to the
Thai/Myanmar Border
while they did their visa run.
It was such an interesting journey, traveling north from Hua Hin through
a vastly different landscape.
This part of Thailand has lots and lots of sugar cane,
agriculture is dominant in these broad valleys.
The highlight of the trip for me was traveling by long tail boat on the River Kwai and crossing the Bridge.
It has a very harsh history behind it, but it is a really
peaceful river and a powerful reminder of the history of war.
If you are interested in finding out more on this Bridge

Out to a marvellous coffee bar right on the beach.
So small you would totally miss this delightful place if you didn't have
new friends to share it with you.
We have adopted a new Aussie family and they have adopted us in return.
Bonus for us, they have a car and the kids like us,
as we do them.
Here are just a few photos of the wonderful day we shared with them.
