Thai Cooking Class..

I was so happy to be able to take a

Thai Cooking Class.

Thanks to my friend Heather Renton, for suggesting Thai Cooking Course.

Beau and her team were amazing. I was picked up at 8:30 am, we then went to the Day Market to see what Beau and her team buy, then onto her beautiful Thai home for an amazing day of cooking and eating.

I will be trying out some of these wonderful recipes.

I also took some photos of the pieces

in her beautiful home where she holds the classes.

Monday...

Some more happy photos of our

excellent adventure.

We are having quite a windy day here,

quite a change from the last few hot and sunny days.

When we go for our walk later, I will take some photos to show how the

oceans waves are rolling in and how the wind

whips the spray into a frenzy.

Thursday...

We continue to try new restaurants, street vendors

and little hole in the wall kind of eateries.

It's amazing the good food they serve and how little it costs to eat out.

We popped into this little place,

4 generations of Thai cooks where there.

We have a bowl of spaghetti as well as a wonderful pork chop dish.

First time we have had any western food,

especially good served from a little Thai diner.

Including a bottle of water,

it was 125 THBT = $5.00 total.

What a great little surprise that was.

A good weekend...

At the moment it is pouring rain,

but all week we enjoyed such lovely warm weather as well as

perfect water temperature in the pool.

We love our new condo and all the amenities it has to offer.

Here are a few photos I took over the weekend.

The food we enjoy...

Thailand is known for its wonderful food.

I am trying to eat lots of different

food I have never tasted before.

Each day when we are out for lunch or supper,

I try and find something new.

Let me tell you, it's not a hardship.

As Jim doesn't do seafood or fish, this is a wonderful

holiday for both of us.

There is so much variety both our palates tummies are easily satisfied.

An Excellent Adventure...

We had a wonderful day exploring

a part of Thailand south of us with our friends.

We took the local orange bus to Pranburi where they picked us

up in their car.

They drove us around to some interesting places such as the

Waghor Aquarium.

We drove the scenic coastal road, crossed an airfield,

went thru Khao Sam Roi Yat National Park.

Khao Sam Roi Yat National Park is a marine national park in Sam Roi Yot district,

Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Thailand.

It covers 98.08 km², of which 20.88 km² are marine areas. The park was established in 1966, and was the first coastal national park of Thailand.

We had lunch on the beautiful sandy Ao Manao beach

where we enjoyed some spicy and delicious Thai

food served under the shade of salt pine trees and vintage

umbrellas.

It made us love this place even more.

Thanks Sharon and Graham for sharing a part of Thailand

that you have grown to love so much.

Happy 6th birthday Alexander in Australia!
