walking thru the screen door.
When the sun is just right, it looks invisible.
Our new upholstered patio furniture looks so fresh and summery.

Today weather calls for sunny skies and a drink on the
deck at 4:30.

This weekend we have dear friends coming
to visit for a few days.
The cooking, baking & cleaning have all been
done.
Leaving us with lots of time to visit and catch up.

My love for pink and tourquoise
pyrex is well known by
my friends who have gifted me more than a few pieces.
I often get asked if I use any of them?
I use some of them almost everyday.
Especially for mixing, baking and storing things
in the fridge.
I am happy to admit that I continue to collect these two colours,
although they are getting harder and harder to find.
I never ever put them in the dishwasher, they are always washed by hand.
Happiness is a cupboard full of pink and tourquoise pyrex.
The weather was good and the drive back home went well.
Very little construction and no accidents.
Life is back in full swing.
Cooking, cleaning, baking, gardening and catching up with friends and loved ones.
Always making time for some crafting.
Looking forward to our company coming on the weekend.
There is such a gorgeous display of
pumpkins, pears, apples and all kinds of
fall produce here at our farmers market.
It makes you want to take
one of each kind home with you.
Dinner is in the slow cooker,

Heading out to do some errands, taking Claire for lunch,
the dropping her off at school.
Starting tomorrow, she will be going into
full time kindergarten.
After taking Claire to her morning kindergarten class,
we drove downtown Vancouver.
Oh my, the traffic is insane, driving thru the lower
east side is always such an eye opener.
There are so many homeless and street people along this part of Granville Street.
As you cross Cambie street, it opens up to
such a different dynamic.
We had to get our Visa's for our stay in Thailand.
Since we leave here in December, we needed one for the 3 months we are away.
Thankfully, they will mail them out to us tomorrow,
saving us having to go back to downtown.
After we picked up Claire from her class,
We went for a nice long walk.
She loved the acorns she found as well as their caps.
Here she tried her hand at taking a photo of Jim and I!
No bad I would say.
