My sweet little Claire....

Every year I make a calendar for Claire.

I was just waiting for a photo that would be great for her December page.

Was thrilled when Jeremy and Julie sent me these.

These photos made my day.

She is losing her teeth already, looking forward to seeing her new smile.

Her 6th birthday is at the end of December.

How quickly these years have gone!

Down for a few days with a cold...

It always happens to me,

Perhaps it's the recycled air from the plane, the change of temp, the a/c,

but whatever it is, I have gotten a cold.

It's hard for me to just sit back and not be active...especially swimming.

I am starting to feel better,

things are looking up again..

It's a wonderful thing that I have so many magazine, newspapers and books down loaded all thru our library.

Spending lots of time down by the pool.

Plus we brought our backgammon game,

I have lost every game except one.

We did manage to go to one of the larger night markets,

here are a few photos of the amazing sea food there.

Lily pads and ponds...

On our walks, we see all these amazing containers

filled with lily pads.

We also come across big ponds of them at a hotel entrance.

Outside every little restaurant, Thai massage place,

hair dresser, there are pots and pots of flowers.

They bring joy to us on the local streets we walk on.

Wat Khan Lam Thom Temple...

Wat Khao Lam Thom is a temple here in Takiab

very near to us.

This was the second time we took the time to explore this part of the area.

It has several smaller

temples and statues within the compound, it's actually quite

a large temple area.

It hosts a farmers market a couple of times a week and is at the

end of the local bus route here.

We hopped aboard the songthaew and picked up some

fresh fruit and vegetables.

I walked around the temple grounds to take

some photos and enjoy the

quiet and serenity that the grounds seem to provide.

I saw several male monks in their saffron robe

and one female monk in her white robe.

I was unable to find out how old this temple is and where all the monks were during the day.

Relaxed days..

We love the kind and smiling Thai people.

We love the warmth of the sun and the ocean,

the flowering trees,

the amazing fruit we get to eat everyday.

We particularly love these small sweet bananas

as well as the limes for the G&T.

It is good to be back.

Day 4...

Today it is sunny and warm early.

It will definaltey be an SPF 60 sunscreen kind of day.

We went back to one of our favourite markets,

"Cicada Market"

It is even better this year,

More food vendors and lovely hand made craft items.

Definitely one of my happy places to

go to.

My Pad Thai with shrimp was delicious.

Settling in...

The tide was really high today and the ocean

looked angry.

The waves were forced up against the retaining wall

of the pool.

Still it was a very beautiful day,

just the right tempeture, with a breeze blowing off the ocean.

A perfect place to have a

catch up Jet lag nap listening to the ocean.

We are here...

It's early here in Hua Hin,

my internal clock is a few hours out of whack.

It has been a few long days, but when I go to the pool this morning,

it will all be worth it.

Coffee in hand, camera in hand,

it will be down to the beach to catch the sunrise

like this one I took last year.

Weekend joys....

Still finding the time to thrift,

take photos on our walks

as well as make a few more bracelets.

Not putting in time, but enjoying the time we have before we leave.
