Where does the time go?
Here we are nearly at the end of July.
It's been a good time for us, lots of sunshine, some smoke, picnics,
friends visiting, trips being planned.
Happy weekend to our family and friends.
Where does the time go?
Here we are nearly at the end of July.
It's been a good time for us, lots of sunshine, some smoke, picnics,
friends visiting, trips being planned.
Happy weekend to our family and friends.
Summer sun and warmth are finally here.
It's going to be a very warm weekend,
high of 32.
Our picnic spot down at the beach is still flooded.
We will have to look for a new place
to have our picnics until the water recedes.
The flowers are really starting to fill in
and bloom vigorously.
Shopping with Frosso at Southlands Nursery.
Finding some beautiful plants to take back to
West Kelowna.
Crafting and playing Dominos with Claire.
Weekends come and go so quickly.!
It really is a shock to my system.
The cold, seems to seep into my bones keeping me chilled.
Of course getting over bronchitis and a sore throat,
on that long flight from Bangkok
makes coming home a cosy spot to be.
The snow keeps falling and the roads to the coast have either been closed
or so much snow falling each day,
travel is not advised.
Thank goodness I still get to see Claire on Face time.
She just received her green belt in Karate.
She is one proud little 6 year old.
Here are a few of the photos I have taken since
we got back in Tuesday.
Tulips help brighten these overcast days.
I love this evening sky.
7:25 pm and the evening light is perfect.
I call this amazing color,
"wet cement."
I wish I could paint our walls this color.
We love the produce at
Paytner's Market.
Picked from their own farm, they are just up the road for us.
These are simply the best days of summer.
We have been counting down the sleeps.
Thinking of all the fun we
will have and the thrifted treasures we are
sure we will find.
The flowers are cut and in her room,
the quiche, salad, & wine are ready for dinner
tonight.
Cindy is bringing dessert.
What a lovely lovely weekend we will share.
There is a
stillness to the early morning
and quietness as evening comes.
The best of each day.
