Busy happy Faire...

It was such a fun and busy time at the

Kootenay Chicks Vintage Faire.

Collecting all year paid off.

Not only with all the fun Cindy and I had collecting Pyrex,

as well as all the other "vintage" items we collect,

but all the "stylin" we did to make

our booth look great.

Here are just a few photos of our terrific weekend.

We could have never done it all by ourselves

Cindy and I are the collecting team,

she also enlisted Tim, Darlene, Larry

and I enlisted Jim to help out.

Our thanks to them all.

We have already begun to collect for next year!

Thanks for everything Cindy!

3 days away in Nelson..

Longtime friends,

my best thrifting buddy ever,

great food, marvellous drinks,

best sleeping cabin on the lake....

only one question remains,

when can I come back?

Thank you Cindy, Tim and sweet Koda for the love and friendship!

See you in September.

Having fun with Cindy...

A whirlwind couple of days thrifting with Cindy.

I can not believe we never took a photo of us together,

we were just that busy having fun!

Cindy is so generous, she always brings many sweet gifts.

Here are just a few I have had the time to style.

Thank you my sweet friend.

And the girls had fun....

Cindy leaves today, but we sure had a lot of fun.
Somehow we never took
enough photos.
Here are a few we did manage to take.
Cindy made out like a bandit in
Value Village.
I was able (thanks to Cindy's good eyes)
to add on to my Pyrex collection.
3 tourquoise
Cinderella bowls to complete a set.

Girls just wanna have fun...

In Cindy's and my case,

fun is spelled

"thrifting"

Our afternoon

started off with Cindy treating for lunch and a

Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Then we got down to the very serious

business of finding treasures.

This was all accomplished in only 1/2 a day.

Imagine what mischief

we can into when we have all day tomorrow!

I will give you a sneak peek of some

of the wonderful finds tomorrow.

Ironstone and postcards...

When Cindy was here last week,

she suggested that I give away a postcard with some

of my Pyrex as a gift.

I thought it was a great idea.

I made a few postcards of her

ironstone as well.

A great idea should be rewarded,

don't you think?

Our shared booth will look amazing with the collections

we have gathered and are selling.

Good eats...

Cindy found for me a

Pyrex Oval Baker in the Pink Daisy pattern.

They were manufactured starting in 1957.

They are more uncommon than the oval divided casserole dish.

{which I am lucky enough to have two of}

These strawberries look amazing in this dish.

Along with jam and pear butter,

Landjäger sausage, wonderfully aged Cheddar,

as well as cookies and a cheesecake pie, is it any

wonder why she is so welcome at our home?

I might even be fortunate enough

to get to try her pickled asparagus she just finished

making.
