Another week....

Sometimes it's hard to keep track of time.

Our days drift one into another.

We meet new people from around the world, we have made new friends with a couple

who just live 20 minutes from us in West Kelowna.

We have friends from Kelowna arriving

on Tuesday,

they are renting a condo here for a month on our recommendation.

Jim had a rough week with his flu/cold/cough.

Happy to report he is much better and regaining his energy.

The rain has stopped and we are back in the sunshine and warmth.

I have been knitting a few rows,

soon my scarf will be done.

I get new photos and talk to Claire every

week..her two front teeth

are almost falling out.

I know we are very fortunate to live this

lovely life enjoying our 4 months in Hua Hin, Thailand.

One week today...

Finishing most of the packing,

My list is getting shorter and shorter each day.

Some of my time is being taken

up by cleaning out the garden pots, some still blooming so beautifully.

Taking time to get some of my

knitting and crochet supplies to take along.

Knitting a row or two when I have a few spare moments.

It's all very good and exciting.

7 more sleeps before we fly out.

At the yarn shop.....

Going into the "Art of Yarn" in Kelowna is such a visual treat.

The way they display their yarns, the classes the give,

the depth of knowledge of their knitting staff is

simply amazing.

They have several wonderful kits, enough to wool to create the project.

I really like this hat.

Maybe it is time to pick up my knitting needles again.

Small joys..

In the last few days, I have been back

in my craft room.

Checking out my fabrics, tidying up and making a few

little items.

These two lovely balls of wool are calling out to me,

I am just not sure what they are saying.

The possibilities are endless.

Today...

Last night I finished knitting

this little dress for

"Isabella"

I crocheted her a beaded necklace

and made her bloomers out of a

pair of white work gloves,

trimmed in flannel to match her ears.

She was a pleasure to create

and will be added to her bunny friends in the wicker basket.

I know Claire will have her picture taken

with several of them.

We are picking up Claire and her parents,

around 2:00 today.

What a happy moment that will be when I see

them coming from the plane.

Knitting Practice❤

In order to learn how to read a pattern and knit different patterns, our wonderful teacher Sue has us work on samples..This is what I worked on today...I stapled it to the instructions so I will remember what the stitches should look like.

This is the wonderful store where I am learning to knit.❤ as well as the amazing selection of yarns..what a joyful place

Knitting and crocheting...

When we are enjoying our beach day..I swim in the ocean or I am lazy on the floaty thing in the pool....but most of the time I spend in the shade under the Bohino (big shade Palapas) knitting, crocheting or making friendship bracelets for the kids that are visiting here..I brought my needles and some wool with me, but picked up these little cotton crochet balls and a hook...keeps me totally happy......with my digital magazines, books and reading blogs..oh my gosh..what a lovely way to spend a month in the sun! I know some of you are in the snow, rain and cooler weather..so everyday, I enjoy a small part of my sunny holiday for you..hope you feel the sunshine and love❤

Knitting....

I have been working on this little scarf for a couple of weeks.
As a beginner knitter, my confidence grows with each row...this is an easy scarf to knit.
I just had to learn to do a wrap and turn {w&t}....
once I completed 4 rows which is the pattern,
continue to the desired length,
this lovely scarf will become a gift.
Had you had time to knit or crochet?
