Come for coffee..

One of my favourite things is to have our friends over for

coffee, tea and cake, or in this case

biscotti.

I never want to pass up a good photo styling opportunity,

so I have lots of fun with whatever props I have at hand.

I hope you have a wonderful Friday!

My continued "MakeLight" photography course..

I continue to learn more each day about

the look I want my photos to have. I really feel very lucky

to live here in this beautiful Okanagan Valley where so many flowers are blooming.

Thanks Cindy for my lovely paper weight and napkin.

Playing with Claire...

A good morning snuggle.

Playing in the park.

Coloring on my IPad, making this colored whale as a gift for her Mom.

Saying goodbye, hugs and kisses,

waving from the window.

4 hours later, I am back home in our

orderly peaceful world, with Jimmy glad to have me back home.

Only 4 more weeks, then Jim and I will go down together.

Visiting family and friends on Vancouver Island,

then looking after Claire while her parents have a mini get a way.

It's a beautiful day here.

I hope where ever you are reading this from,

you are enjoying lovley weather!

Having fun and helping out...

I am here for the weekend with Jeremy, Julie and Claire.

Julie had to go over to Victoria to see her

101-year-old grandmother who's going into palliative care.

Jeremy, Claire and I worked together, digging in the dirt and getting the pavers put in place.

They will be putting in a small container garden for

Claire to enjoy her vegetables and her strawberries.

Yesterday I went for a walk in their neighbourhood and collected some flowers.

I grabed the first vase that I could find and it's a handy Starbucks drinking glass.

It's just gorgeous weekend here, the sun is shining and it's warm.

It's time to head out for a walk.

Away for the weekend..

Here are a few photos I have been working on.

Getting together my collection of

McCoy Pottery

in all the colors I have collected.

They are such beautiful muted colors,

perfect vases and pots.

My Cindy had helped my collection

by gifting me many many vases as well as pots.

Playing in my studio..

I have been having lots of fun styling my photos,

either in my craftroom or near a window

where the light is good.

This week I decided I would see what props

I had that are yellow along with the flowers I picked.

I was quite surprised about how many yellow things I had.

This was the photo I took on the weekend

that inspired the yellow palate.

All were taken with my IPhone 5c.

Sunny Days...Arrowleaf Balsamroot

We had such a beautiful hike today at

Kalamoir Regional Park.

The hillside with ablaze with yellow flowers.

Hundreds of them making the most happy walk we have had this spring!

Balsamorhiza Sagittata

is a North American species of flowering plant in the sunflower tribe of the aster family known by the common name arrowleaf balsamroot.

It is widespread across western Canada and much of the western United States.
