Happy birthday my wonderful son...

Happy birthday to you Jeremy.
It’s hard to believe you were born 44 years ago today.
Where has that time gone?
You have grown up to become such a great guy,
a really kind and caring husband, a fun and loving dad.
I am very proud to be your Mom.
There are many photos I cherish of our time together,
but this one taken in 1987 still remains one of my favourite ones.
I hope this year is filled with love, joy, health, happiness, wonder and personal fulfillment.
I will see you soon.

Happy Fathers Day...

To all the dads out there,

Happy Father's Day.

May your day be filled with phone calls, photos from the kids in your life...

your own or others.

May you be spoiled by the ones that love you.

This past week.....

We have enjoyed having our friends visiting from Vancouver Island.

We travel to the Island tomorrow morning to stay with them and see

Jim's cousin Wayne and Jo-Ann.

Enjoying my visit last week with

Claire, Jeremy and Julie.

Celebrating Jeremy's 43rd birthday!

(How is it possible that those years have passed so quickly?)

Remembering my wonderful Mother.

It seems to me that 16 years seems like such a long

time to be without the wisdom and love

of this kind and loving women.

It seems fall is here...

Cooler tempetures,

rain, leaves falling, grapes being picked,

I think we can say with a degree of confidence that fall is on its way.

It's a beautiful time of the year here in the Okanagan.

September is my favourite month.

My kind and loving mother was born in September 11 - 1924

she died in September 2000.

My son Jeremy is a September baby as well

6 family members have September birthdays.

I was lucky enough to be born 2 days after my mom's

25th birthday on September 13.

So yes, September remains my favourite month of the year.

And as my dear friends know,

I celebrate it all month long!

These wonderful birch paintings were painted
by my talented sister
Caroline Kelly.
One of the loves of my life,
my son Jeremy!

Having fun and helping out...

I am here for the weekend with Jeremy, Julie and Claire.

Julie had to go over to Victoria to see her

101-year-old grandmother who's going into palliative care.

Jeremy, Claire and I worked together, digging in the dirt and getting the pavers put in place.

They will be putting in a small container garden for

Claire to enjoy her vegetables and her strawberries.

Yesterday I went for a walk in their neighbourhood and collected some flowers.

I grabed the first vase that I could find and it's a handy Starbucks drinking glass.

It's just gorgeous weekend here, the sun is shining and it's warm.

It's time to head out for a walk.

Weekend love...

I love that Claire took this photo!

Jeremy is 6'4"

that makes it hard for Claire to fit him all in the frame!

Coming home..

They are flying on their way back to Vancouver.

I can't wait to see them.

I've been busy tidying up in the garden,

then taking time to take photos and play.

It was a lovley kind of day!

Happy 5th birthday, sweet Claire

Snow fell in Vancouver in time for

Claire to celebrate her 5th birthday.

I am so happy that Jeremy and Julie love the outdoors at all times of the year and have instilled love that with Claire.

Happy birthday to our sweet little girl.

You are our hearts delight.

Happy Birthday, Jeremy

Happy 42nd birthday to my wonderful son.

As Claire well knows,

you will always be my baby.

I know she and Julie will give you a kiss from me.

What a lovely coincident that you met

Julie 20 years ago today.

You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.

And if you treat them like sons,

they'll turn out to be heroes,

even if it's just in your own eyes.
