For the love of Pyrex..

Cindy and I both collect Pyrex,

thru good fortune and good luck, we don't collect the same

patterns.

We are always keeping out an eagle eye to add to our own patterns

as well for each other.

I have recently added Opal White to my collection as it goes so beautifully

with the tourquoise and pink I collect here for our home

in BC.

Warmer colors such as the butterfly gold and orange are for our

AZ. home..

Cindy has gifted me many new pieces which I adore!

Amish Butterprint refrigeration dish!

A little bird, a pink plate and matching bowl as well as two beautiful

Opal white bowls.

They go so well with everything!

Cindy also gifted me these resturant ware plates,

Opal white drink glasses

as well as the pink resturant ware bowl..

Does it get better than this.

I think not!

Pale and delicate...

Hellebore.

One of the first flowers of spring, so sweet and pale.

Must have a few flowers indoors, always a delight!

Finding all my crocheted flowers,

It is good to be back, it's like a treasure hunt, trying to remembering where all of

my yarn and hooks hide.

Home again..

Unpacking, shopping, making dinner,

catching up with family, friends and neighbours

all makes us glad to

be back at our home in BC.

They garden will be tidied up over the next few days,

garden centres visited, a few new plants purchased

and put into the soil as soon as the

chance of frost has passed.

Strawberries and tulips brighten any day

and better yet, using my newly acquired pyrex.

It is truly good to be back to our summer home.

Heading home....

Blue skies, rain, sleet, snow, wind and then again sunshine travelled with

us all the way from Idaho Falls to Post Falls.

There are quite a few amazing Antique shops along this route.

Small off the road towns worth taking a short detour for.

Jim's ability to spot Pyrex is increasing at every stop.

I think he will have almost enough credits

to last the summer..

Thrifting our way back to BC..

Very few thrift shops in the small towns we passed thru

where safe from me.

Jimmy earned lots of new credits!

Although I only found 2 pyrex lids, my thrifting buddy Cindy well knows that for both of us,

it is the thrill of the hunt.

Here are a few treasures I found but did not come home with me.

A good day travelling..

An easy traveling day for us.

510 miles, with quite a few stops.

I found 2 great additions to my pyrex collection, one in Flagstaff and one in Hurricane.

We are staying overnight in Cedar City, gateway to many

of the regions great parks such as Zion and Bryce.

Finding the time to craft..

Having coffee outside in the shade,

crochet hook in hand,

crocheting flower, crocheting leaves, listening to the birds sing,

always makes me realize just how fortunate

I am.

Garden clippings.....

Just before we leave, I ask Jerry our Gardner to prune

our shrubs back really hard so that

when we come back in the fall, all the plants are full and lush.

Over the past 7 years, we have always come back to a garden

that has been well tended over the summer months.

I asked Miguel to bring in some of the clipping from the Oleander tree

as well as the Arizona Yellow Bells so that I could put them

in a vase to enjoy before we leave.
