Seattle, Whidby Island, San Juan Islands and Sidney....

What a lovely week away from the smoke and heat it was.

Being near or on the water is one of my favourite pastimes.

We had lots of opportunities to enjoy all of the above.

The air was clear and cool.

We are now back in West Kelowna,

cooler but still smoke lingers in the air.

 

It's definitely fall here..

Back from Vancouver Island..it was great seeing our

friends and seeing family.

The seasons changing, our first frost here today.

Cooler morning, rainy days, shorter days and cooler nights.

The countdown to our holiday is only

a couple of weeks away.

A bit of time away...

Visiting friends in Sidney by the Sea,

Looking after Claire for the long weekend makes it a good time

for a bit of an excellent adventure.

I have always loved the ferry ride thru the

Gulf Islands.

Catching up with old friends, seeing family, loving Claire,

new sights, sounds, food and thrifting possibilities.

It's all very good.
