Visiting friends in Sidney by the Sea,
Looking after Claire for the long weekend makes it a good time
for a bit of an excellent adventure.
I have always loved the ferry ride thru the
Gulf Islands.
Catching up with old friends, seeing family, loving Claire,
new sights, sounds, food and thrifting possibilities.
It's all very good.

We are having quite a windy day here,
quite a change from the last few hot and sunny days.
When we go for our walk later, I will take some photos to show how the
oceans waves are rolling in and how the wind
whips the spray into a frenzy.
Wonderful visit to my childhood home.

Lovely to sleep back in my own bed again.
Such good memories made and lots of reminiscing.

All is good in my world.
We met this great couple 2 years ago that decided to
retire in Panama.
We have kept in touch and yesterday we were invited to
spend the day with them and be their guest in their
home in the mountains.
Adri and Pieter have wonderful taste and they have created such
a warm and personal home.
The plantings around this lush property are amazing.
The casita we spent the night in
overlooked the valley towards the sea and the mountains. The bed
was even raised higher so your view was fabulous when
the sun rose. It was breathtaking.
They are filled with kindness and live a life of joy and
special moments.
Today we are back at the beach,
a storm is brewing with gusty winds, we will walk
the beach looking for sea glass a bit later this evening.
