Which handmade gift did Kari pick?

For each great niece or nephew born,

I make them a handmade bunny, or in this case a deer.

I gave Kari a choice of these 4 handmade softies and she choose

Heidi, the deer.

I am in the process of knitting her a dress, then she will be sent

off to Bull River to be loved.

Small pleasure...

After Jeremy, Julie and Claire had left,

I always feel the house has grown too quite.

So I get busy, taking photos of some of the things that

have inspired me during the week.

Here are a few of my photos.

And just because she is so sweet

and gives such good hugs and kisses.

Miss Dandelion Doe

Jeremy was starting to get better,

Julie felt they could manage ok on their own, so I was able to drive home.

I am hopeful he will not overdo it.

He will be re-evaluated by his Dr. in 10 days to see when he

is well enough to go back teaching.

I was grateful to have been able to help out.

I am happy to be back home and share my days with Jim once again.

Now that I am back home, I will be making this new felt Doe that I purchased

from

Posie Gets Cosy

I will post my deer when I get her completed.

This is my PFD pattern.

Here are Alicia's other new patterns.

Crating poolside...

We have met more lovely people this trip as well.

Connie and I have been busy making

bunnies

for her grandchildren, Mia and Tristan around the pool.

"Maryanna" and "Gaitan"

will be heading back to Quebec next week.

We also crocheted countess friendship bracelets.

I was so happy to share this time crafting around

the pool and making new friends.

Thanks Connie,

it has been a joy to get to meet you, Joe and your family.

BTW,

our dear neighbour in West Kelowna

photoshopped our house and added all that snow..

We got totally plunked!

Good work Marvin, we were totally impressed!

Bottle brush trees...

Just having some fun.

Bleaching green bottle brush trees,

adding some dye, epson salt, glitter, as well as a small

deer

to create a bit of seasonal

joy!

Decorating for Christmas...

I was fortunate enough to have Jerry, our gardner

bring me some cut rounds of a

Mesquite tree that he had to take down.

I got 3 amazingly heavy rounds of this tree

and spent no time at all decorating

our home.

Simple and sweet with most of the deer I have

collected over the last few years.

This wonderful reindeer photo is from

Design Seeds..

Love this color combo.

A special happy birthday to to Brad!

Here's hoping you will have a another fabulous year!

Also in memory of our dad born today.

Deer in our neighborhood.

Imagine my surprise when Jim told me there were 2 deer walking up our street..we have seen them on the golf course but never so close to the house..they went and just waited at our mail box...maybe they were eyeing the roses or expecting a parcel?
While I was taking this photo, I was delighted to find out that my new IPod Touch has a built in flash, who knew? Here are a few of our neighbors stunning roses.
