Signs of our Travels

Here are a few signs of some of the things we have seen. Lots of SEE FOOD everywhere. This is one at our RV park. Change of travel plans, lots of rain in the forcast, so we are off to Portland, then maybe towards the Oregon Coast. We will let you know where we end up on Day 6. Thanks to those of you who left comments. Sweet. Posted by Picasa

Room with a View

So here it is, the view from our living room, sunny and calm, glad we are here and not up North where it is cold and snowing.

Pebbles and Cookie enjoying the view as well.

This little town of Hoodsport is really sweet. Just some small shops and seafood places along the water's edge. You see boats crabbing, and just people fishing. Lots of seafood for sale. Richard, you would love it here!!!!!

Hydrangea's In Hoodsport, Wa.

Day 3 & 4. Picked these hydrangea's in our RV spot overlooking the Hood Canal, at Hoodsport. What a beautiful day.
We were going to stay on Whidbey Island, but the strong wind and rain had us heading south down US101. It is a beautiful road, lots of ocean views and sharp corners. We will be here for a day or two then head to the west coast, and really see the ocean. The dogs are settling in well to the travelling in the truck and lots of new smells at every stop. Posted by Picasa

Lucky Me

So here we are at lunch, Jeremy and I, Jim taking the photo. Julie and I in the 5th Wheel. We went to a great little resturant called " Chihuahua" in Ferndale. Wonderful Mexican food. It was so great to spend a couple of hours with these two, caught up with what they have been up to. Posted by Picasa

Pebbles's New Ottoman

Pebbles loves the fact that she can sit beside me
while we travel. First couple of nights here in Ferndale, Washington. Jeremy and Julie are coming down for Brunch today, can't wait to see them. Roads were good, no trouble at the border, except they took away the "girls doggy" treats, no USDA stickers on them.

Overcast, but warm. Posted by Picasa

Hooked up and Ready to Roll

Here we are all hooked up and ready to roll outta here tomorrow morning. The weather is starting to change, windy and cool here today, so it's time to head out. "Plan B" is almost fully loaded, and if we forgot anything, we have lots of stores along the way to stock up. We head over the Coquahalla Highway and to Ferndale Wa. for the first day of our trip. Last year we travelled over 10,000 miles or 16,000km in 4 months, it will be interesting to see where we go this year.

The dogs know something is up, and it is a good thing that they love to travel with us. Posted by Picasa

2 Dogs, Alot of Bling One Great Look

I love how this page turned out of Pebbles and Maddy doing their "Dame Edna" thing. Maddy's comments are "What were they thinking when they made us pose like this?" Pebbles is saying" My mom was surprised that we sat so still" Gotta love these pets!!!!!

Cookie was too tired, lazy and was sleeping all through these photo sessions. Photos of her coming up in the next short while. Posted by Picasa

Pebbles as "Dame Edna"

I love this photo of Pebbles dressed up to look like "Dame Edna." We made this outfit for one of our co-workers, Susan, at Mission Hill Winery for her birthday. I found the glasses, and added on these side wings to them, finshed it off with a tiara, boa and lots of glittery jewels. It simply amazed me that Pebbles stood so still to let me take several photos of her. A lotta bling goes along way. Posted by Picasa

Thankful for the Simple Pleasures

I was so excited this morning after spending time learning how to create my blog, that I had to come down into my craftroom and do up this page. I know that it conveys the feelings I want to tell, being Thankful for the Simple Pleasures in Life Posted by Picasa

Rainbow over Mission Hill Winery

This is what I saw after a big wind storm yesterday afternoon. They said that there were wind gusts us to 75 km per hour, but it wasn't that windy here. It was a lovely sight to see this rainbow from our deck overlooking the 5th fairway, and ending up at the Mission Hill Winery. Posted by Picasa

Some new scrapbook pages

Here are a few new scrapbook pages that I have recently finished. I really enjoyed making the one with Jim and I. The one below is of the 3 different 5th Wheel Trailers that we have had, including the one we currently have. I had been thinking of doing this page for quite a while and finally got it finished.
We will be leaving here from Kelowna on Friday Oct 27, and heading out for the start of our 5 month holiday and our first overnight stop will be in Ferndale, Washington. We will be staying at AA RV Park, where we met the owners, Darryl and Sally last year at Pismo Beach, California. Jeremy and Julie will be meeting us there of Saturday, and from there we will just travel south towards warmer weather.

I will be sending this address on, so if you are interested in our journey south, you can catch up with us at anytime and see what we have been up to.
Keep safe,
Dagmar

17th anniversary

This is a photo of Jim and I on our 17th wedding anniversary. We had a great day, and then went out for dinner at Minstral's Cafe in the Mission in Kelowna. They have a wonderful courtyard that has a 104 year old Sycamore Tree that is just beautiful. We would like to go back there in the summer time and have lunch. It has been a really great 17 years.
