Making time..

Sometimes 24 hours in a day doesn't seem

like there are enough hours in a

day.

There are some many projects I want to make, so many new things

I want to learn, so many books to read.

More hiking trials to explore.

So much thrifting to do.

Getting up early really helps, staying up a bit later gives

me time to catch up on my blogs and reading.

We all only have 24 hours in a day, I hope you make

yours productive, fulfilled and joyful.

Gifts from the garden...

Even one or two blooms this time of the year seems like

a gift to me.

The lilacs are just starting to plumb up.

Soon they will be in full bloom.

Garden clippers, an empty bucket as well as water are always

in my car for roadside finds.

What to sell and what to keep....

I do not believe it is hoarding if you use

what you collect.

However, in order to be able to continue collecting the pieces

I really love, some must go.

I have been collecting B&W pyrex to sell.

With names like, Black Tulip, Barbed Wire, Black Snowflake,

paired along with Opal White and Milk Glass,

a collection can come together quite nicely.

Here are a few of the items I am

thinking

of selling at the booth I am sharing with Cindy

at

The Kootenay Chicks Craft Faire in Nelson in July.

Gathering for our booth....

Cindy and I are sharing a booth

at the

Kootenay Chicks Vintage Faire!

We are thrifting, garage sailing

and gathering pyrex, ironstone and other wonderful

vintage finds to sell in our booth.

I adore this poster, how much fun do you think

we will have?

Why not get a bunch of your girlfriends together

and come over to Nelson for the day

and see for yourself!

You would think.....

Those of you who know me well would think I craft all day.

Well sometimes I do.

I love the creative process and having a well stocked craft room

is such a blessing.

It is thanks to my very talented husband,

Jim

that I have such a wonderful and dedicated space to craft in!

Here are a few of the things I am working on at the moment.

Or are being re-arranged.

I hope you take the time to be creative this week!

Thrifted finds...

It was a good day to find a few treasures.

Some of the thrift stores had 50% off sale in their treasure room.

Senior's day was a happy unexpected surprise.

Here are a few of my finds.

Some of them will be put up for sale when Cindy and I are part of a

Vintage Sale held in Nelson July 5 & 6th.

Easter Chicks..

From sunny Victoria where Claire spent Easter,

to a cool Easter for Alexander in Australia,

our two grandchildren each had

a very good weekend.

A little bit of tidying up...

Have you ever started one thing, then it became something

else?

It started by just putting a few things away.

Then you group a few things together,

a little color collection happens.

This was my day yesterday.

Here are a few shots of my day.

I love it when I make time to tidy and move my stuff

around....editing a few things along the

way.

Spring At Dogwood Garden Centre...

Who could resists such beauty.
Flowers blooming, greenhouses bursting at the seams
with all the plants waiting to be out into the earth.
I did smile when I saw these amazing metal roosters, goats and frogs.
Happy Easter weekend to you all,
new snow on our mountains, a fierce wind as well as an overcast sky.
A lovely day having the fireplace on, coffe in hand and many
crafts waiting to be made.

Making appetizers...

It's is raining here today, a good day to find and try some easy

appetizer recipes to have on hand for

summer company.

We are having a

"Welcome Back Snowbirds"

party here at our clubhouse at Sonoma Pines in West Kelowna.

I thought I would like to make one of these from a recipe blog called

Tablespoon.com

I will let you know how mine turned out and how tasty it was.
