Label Art...

I love making small things in my craft room. I never know what is going to inspire me, I just go downstairs and I find little treasures that I have had for some time and put them together. Some aren't even useful, they just make me happy.

Flea market finds...

These little fleas market finds are things that my friend Cindy and I will be looking for when she comes for a visit in a couple of weeks. Last time she was down, she found a rug, then went home and redecorated a whole room around that rug. Who knows what treasures that she will find on this trip.

Infatuation is when you think he's as sexy as Robert Redford, as smart as Henry Kissinger, as noble as Ralph Nader, as funny as Woody Allen, and as athletic as Jimmy Conners. Love is when you realize that he's as sexy as Woody Allen, as smart as Jimmy Connors, as funny as Ralph Nader, as athletic as Henry Kissinger and nothing like Robert Redford - but you'll take him anyway. ~

Jeremy and Julie here in Westbank

Jeremy and Julie came up here for a few nights from Vancouver, and even though it is raining here, we had fun going to Bliss Bakery in Peachland, and then up to Mission Hill Winery for a tour. It is always a challenge to get some good pics for the scrapbook album. They were gracious and posed for quite a few. They leave early Monday morning to continue looking to buy a home in Port Coquitlam.

Jim , Carmen & Brad

Carmen and Jim at Thornhaven Winery, is she ever sweet!!!!. Look at these two good looking guys, don't the look alike? Carmen took this photo of Jim and Brad at Mission Hill Winery where I work. They had a great time touring different wineries in the Valley.

Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world. ~

Summer-time reading....

It has been such a lovely August long weekend, but hot and busy. Had time to visit my local bookstore, to stock up on more summer-time reading material. We had a really good weekend with Carmen and Brad who came to stay with us from Calgary. Jim took them touring to a few wineries, to help them stock their wine cellar. (photos to follow later this week).
Julie went to Oregon to be with Jeremy for a couple of days before they came back to Vancouver. They sold their townhouse at Simon Fraser and are now looking for a larger home.
So all is good.

On the water....

Thank you Sue and Bob for the wonderful 4 days we spent with you in Sidney. The 'Girlies" really enjoyed you looking after them and taking them for a walk. They have now regained their status by being able to sleep anywhere they like, be it couch or bed. Cookie gave the biggest sigh when she finally settled herself on the couch. Pebbles has settled down any where near me as usual. She goes to the Vet. tomorrow to get that lump checked out.
Please tell Summer that she sure looks sweet beside her Grandmother.
