Nelson Trout....

Emmy Lou sitting in Cindy's TV chair and quite unwilling to give this soft spot up...Sweet!

Cindy just took her work out of the kiln yesterday and shared these photos with me. She is still a bit snow bound in Nelson, and is enjoying her "Blackberry Studio" even more at this time of the year when she can't get into her garden. Her Nelson Trout don't stay on the gallery shelves for long.

Friends....

Sue with her granddaughter Summer in her new helmet in Sidney, BC.

The bicycle is just as good company as most husbands and, when it gets old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without shocking the entire community.

Relaxing...

This is our morning routine, we get the paper, have coffee and read outside. The "girlies" get their mats out, we enjoy the sunrise together and plan out our day. I wanted to also have a measuring point for the growth of the plants on the back wall.

Outdoor living..

With the weather here in the past few weeks in the low to mid 80's, living outside is what the desert is all about. As nearly all of our newly found Canadians friends are leaving within the next few weeks, it has been lots of fun visiting back and forth with them sharing dinner and drinks. The interesting part is seeing how their back yards are set up for entertaining and using some of their ideas for your own.

Caroline's Artwork.

Look at these, aren't they wonderful?

These are all painted on slabs of rock. My sister Caroline has been a natural talent all of her life, and in the past few years she has matured into this wonderful artist. Our Mom and Dad would be really proud of the art she creates, as they always encouraged all 7 of us kids to create & entertain ourselves. We each did that each in our own way. Caroline's husband Larry is so supportive and helped create a lovely place for her to paint. Soon she will have a web-site and when she does I will post it here. We are all so proud of you and your work, Caroline.

Keep sending me more of your paintings now that you have a computer...I nearly fainted when I got my first e-mail from you!!!!!!!

On another pleasant note: Happy 10th Anniversary Laurie and Shane in Australia. We hope you have many more wonderful and adventurous years together.

Country Living....

These are some photos from the Country Living UK magazine which is one of my favourites. Cindy and I used to look for this magazine where ever we were, read it, share it, and decorate our gardens from some of the pages of this really interesting publication. Happy Spring.

My thanks to my dear Cindy for sending me her wonderful ceramic plates of us shopping, and a handpainted Easter Card....xoxox

Brighton Love....

I love Brighton Jewellery and jewellery in general, and here in AZ. there are quite a few Brighton stores, that keep luring an unsuspecting person in. Once you are in you might fall in love with a certain color or design, and of course they offer new design for every season...the shopping has definitely been fun here.
On a different note; The Gym...a place of great joy (yeah right) and torture...I never knew that arm muscles could get that sore...something to think about, I think it will improve when my attitude about going improves. Swimming and walking are much more my source of joy....
This afternoon we are going to the Ironhorse BeanBag Block party, look for new and funny photos over the next couple of days. We are hoping that the rain will stay away and it will be warmer than the 50 degree weather they have forcast.

Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.

Pottery Barn Seminar

The Ya Ya girls went to the Pottery Barn Seminar this morning, and learned about table top decorating, and these are a few of the photos I took in the store. We also lucked out with the Nordstrom Make-Up/Frangrance Show...where we made out like Bandits...it was a very good morning shopping.
