A few of our finds...
We found 2 of these hand stitched panels in great condition just ready to be used in a project.
The box is a game with all kinds of single letters and the bling on top was found on the way to Enderby and Kelowna...
It is always so much fun to go with Cindy, she has eyes of a hawk and can spot bling a mile away...
Thanks Cindy for the great weekend and sending on those photos!

This beautiful bouquet arrived yesterday from Christa to celebrate my 60th birthday on Sunday. They smell so good and look great on the dining room table...thank you so much Christa. I still get some cards in the mail.
Jim says that I lay claim to the whole month of September as my birthday month, and that would be right..
Today would of been my Mother's 85 birthday...my thoughts are always with her in September.
Jeremy's birthday is coming up as well in September and various other family and friends...It is a good month to be born in...
Cindy has already left Nelson to come for the weekend....we have 3 full days planned ahead...more photos will come...

This is my brother Heinz and Marlene's new rig and wheels!!! We haven't seen it in person yet, but it looks awesome. They sold their home and as Marlene retires as an ICU/EMG nurse this December, they are heading for a long deserved holiday.
Congratulations on your Rig and Home!!
I know you are dreaming and counting down the days until you leave!

A passport, as I'm sure you know, is a document that one shows to government officials whenever one reaches a border between countries, so the officials can learn who you are, where you were born, and how you look when photographed unflatteringly.

Fall project...
A vintage wooden cupboard provides handsome storage for gardening supplies. Perched on the front porch, it serves as a way station between house and garden. You can step out the door, slip into your gardening shoes, and head off with tools in hand. On your way back in, kick off the shoes, and stash them and the tools without tracking soil inside. Make room in the cupboard for houseplant and cut-flower supplies, too; won't it be good to get them out from beneath the sink? Look for a spacious old cupboard at a flea market or junk shop, and fill it with pots, bulbs and seeds, a hose, and other gardening essentials. Wooden boxes customize the space: One holds bags of fertilizer and potting soil, the other holds tools. Paint unfinished boxes with semi- or high-gloss paint.

Friendships
If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me.

Happy September 1st
These are wild ducks that live close to the beach where Jim and I had a picnic in Summerland on Sunday...I fed them some of Cookie's dog food and they eat right out of my hand...They probably spend every night on this beach, but obviously couldn't read the sign.
