Having the opportunity to travel and see other part of Thailand
is fascinating.
With the Thai visa system, you have to exit the country every
two months on a multiple entry visa.
So our friends invited us along for an overnight trip to the
Thai/Myanmar Border
while they did their visa run.
It was such an interesting journey, traveling north from Hua Hin through
a vastly different landscape.
This part of Thailand has lots and lots of sugar cane,
agriculture is dominant in these broad valleys.
The highlight of the trip for me was traveling by long tail boat on the River Kwai and crossing the Bridge.
It has a very harsh history behind it, but it is a really
peaceful river and a powerful reminder of the history of war.
If you are interested in finding out more on this Bridge
