Hydrangeas...

As you drive into our housing development you are greeted by these amazing pink hydrangeas shrubs standing over 5 feet tall...our gardener's leave them blooming as long as possible, but within the next week they will all be cut down and put to bed for the season...On my walk yesterday, I did some judicious pruning saving a big bunch these beauties to live another day..they dry so beautifully and if they are kept out of the sunlight, the color lasts for a long time..

I am really enjoying the hydrangeas at the moment, probably better than they were when they were blooming. They look like antique lace now they are changing colours. xx
