Chao Phraya River in Bangkok

We spent a great day on the water.

What a wonderful way to move masses of people around.

We paid for an all day pass.

150 THBT = 5.55 CND each.

This allowed us to hop on and off at 30 stops along the river.

We could use the tourist boat, or the regular commuter boats.

We choose both, depending where we wanted to go.

Yesterday was the Thai King's birthday, a much loved and revered man here in Thailand.

The city was draped with yellow banners everywhere.

They are the King's colors.

As it was a national holiday, all the Thai people wore yellow Tshirts to honour their King.

Many of the venues, such as the Grand Palace were so busy,

We weren't even able to get close to it.

With 8 million people living in Bangkok alone, you can imagine the sea of people.

They are very respectful to each other and friendly to us.

It was a fabulous experience to be here on this day on the river.

The flower market was my absolute favourite.

The food, the spices, the colors are all ashtonishing

and such a visual delight.

Here are a few of the photos I took.
