Having fresh made scones,
Cindy's strawberry jam and a pot of tea.
Getting a FaceTime call from Claire as well as
new photos every week.
More flowers at the garden centres.
Happy happy weekend.

We wanted a fountain for our courtyard.
I spent some time looking at what was available locally and couldn't
find anything that would suit the site.
Jim and I looked over some designs and decided to build our own.
It took about two weeks to build. Jim did all the building.
We shared the task of putting the stacked rocks on the wall.
I am thrilled with how it turned out.
We need just to make a few plant adjustments
as well as try to find something to put above the top.
The sounds is makes is beautiful.
I will make a place where the birds can have a drink
and have a bath.
I love the faded look of the tulips, daffodils and narcissi at
the end of their blooming cycle.
They have such a delicate yet blousey showgirl look.
I think these untouched photos taken with my iPhone
show what I mean.
For each great niece or nephew born,
I make them a handmade bunny, or in this case a deer.
I gave Kari a choice of these 4 handmade softies and she choose
Heidi, the deer.
I am in the process of knitting her a dress, then she will be sent
off to Bull River to be loved.
I am a new Great Auntie.
My sister Caroline has another baby to love.
Our new little guy (no name yet)
arrived yesterday at 8lbs 14 oz in great form.
My niece, Kari, her husband Rob and 2 year old sister Myla
are at home and doing well.
I will be going home to Bull River to get a snuggle with this one soon.
There is no place like the garden centres to get
inspired for photos and planting ideas.
We are so fortunate to have so many great places to shop for plants.
I am always drawn to pinks and cream,
but because we have a red stucco house,
it narrows my choices.
Here are a few of the lovelies I took photos of this week!
It seems when the new foals on the
Bennett's Farm
are born, the lilacs edging their property start to bloom.
People stop to pet the foals and collect this old vintage variety of lilac
that smells so fragrant.
Here are a few that made it into my basket.
My moms lilac will be blooming here in our garden this week as well.
One of my favourite things is to have our friends over for
coffee, tea and cake, or in this case
biscotti.
I never want to pass up a good photo styling opportunity,
so I have lots of fun with whatever props I have at hand.
I hope you have a wonderful Friday!
