Now that Claire was back with her Mom and Dad,
she was her usual good spirited happy little self.
We went visiting, thrifting, walking, crafting,
and playing.
I went with Jeremy and Julie to watch her at her Karate class.
I am glad they will bring her back to West Kelowna this summer.
She told me she just missed her parents so much and
that was a lot of pressure on her.
My sweet little girl.
Whenever I get a chance to play outside
with Claire, we take it and we are both have lots of fun.
Luckily there are lots of parks we can enjoy.
Ice cream was high on our list of fun things to try.
We drove downtown to visit a friend and stopped in to enjoy a cone.
The smoke from the US fires was finally
clearing out of our valley
when 3 new fires started up.
This one was over the lake and on the
next ridge,
but quite visible from our home..
The air is easier to breathe,
rain is in the forecast.
An ice cream is a good way to
enjoy the evening.

She is a very generous little girl.
Here she is decorating her mom's canvas shoes so they
are as colourful as her own.
Ice cream is always the highlight of our time together.
We are so blessed with this
lovely family of ours.
Paytner's Farm Market is always such a treat.
The ice cream is a summertime favorite.
This year, with all this hot weather we have had,
nearly all the fruit
is early.
This was the selection on display yesterday.
Only one word to describe it....

Paytners Market is open 2 weeks early.
They have a huge market garden as well as fruit trees and flowers.
Their home made waffle cones are the best,
pair that with one of their 30 flavours of ice cream,
sit on a picnic table in the orchard
and it is a summer time treat.
After that,
you need to go for a nice long walk along the lake.
