A busy little girl...

She's busy being a kid.

Doing what little girls do, she's growing up.

I was there for her first day back to school.

She only had 1 hour of classtime, back in her grade one room.

Next week she will be full time in her grade 2/3 split.

I will see her again in October before we leave for

our time away in Thailand.

All is good again...

Now that Claire was back with her Mom and Dad,

she was her usual good spirited happy little self.

We went visiting, thrifting, walking, crafting,

and playing.

I went with Jeremy and Julie to watch her at her Karate class.

I am glad they will bring her back to West Kelowna this summer.

She told me she just missed her parents so much and

that was a lot of pressure on her.

My sweet little girl.

So Homesick..

We picked Claire up in Hope on Sunday afternoon.

This morning, Monday,

I drove her back to Port Coquitlam.

She was so homesick.

I will just spend a couple of days looking after her while

Julie works this week.

I felt to sad for her, missing her parents so much.

They will come up as a family in August

so Claire will continue to have a good experience with us in Kelowna.

Off to meet her Dad after school.

Both Jeremy and Julie teach at their

International Summer School.

Snow Angels and Snowman...

It was an early morning Saturday

FaceTime call

with an excited Claire.

She was anxious to show us all the snow that fell overnight.

She was one happy little girl to

go play in the snow.

Playing with Claire...

A good morning snuggle.

Playing in the park.

Coloring on my IPad, making this colored whale as a gift for her Mom.

Saying goodbye, hugs and kisses,

waving from the window.

4 hours later, I am back home in our

orderly peaceful world, with Jimmy glad to have me back home.

Only 4 more weeks, then Jim and I will go down together.

Visiting family and friends on Vancouver Island,

then looking after Claire while her parents have a mini get a way.

It's a beautiful day here.

I hope where ever you are reading this from,

you are enjoying lovley weather!

Having fun and helping out...

I am here for the weekend with Jeremy, Julie and Claire.

Julie had to go over to Victoria to see her

101-year-old grandmother who's going into palliative care.

Jeremy, Claire and I worked together, digging in the dirt and getting the pavers put in place.

They will be putting in a small container garden for

Claire to enjoy her vegetables and her strawberries.

Yesterday I went for a walk in their neighbourhood and collected some flowers.

I grabed the first vase that I could find and it's a handy Starbucks drinking glass.

It's just gorgeous weekend here, the sun is shining and it's warm.

It's time to head out for a walk.

Weekend love...

I love that Claire took this photo!

Jeremy is 6'4"

that makes it hard for Claire to fit him all in the frame!

Friday...

The weather turned out to be sunny and quite warm.

We went out to do a few errands,

had a Thai lunch then Jeremy and I went for a walk to

Art Knapp's Garden Center.

The greenhouses were filled with beautiful flowers

that would make every garden a delight.

I am sure a few flowers will come home with me in Sunday.
