As I was watching the sunrise yesterday,
I noticed something yellow washing up on the beach further
down from were I was.
I soon saw about
these flowers offerings brought in by the tide.
The flowers garlands are so beautifully made.
They hang on spirit homes as well as
on mirrors in cars, on boats
and at temples.
Phuang malai (พวงมาลัย) are a Thai form of floral garland.
They are often given as offerings or kept for good luck.
Sunrise.
My favourite time of day.
There is nothing quite like the feeling of the first rays of sunshine
hitting your face.
The warmth of the air,
the sound of the ocean,
the beauty of a sunrise.
I love how it all unfolds during the day.
It happened this morning as I watched
these two local fishermen cast their
nets as the walked along the sand bar.
There was a quiet beauty to it all.
It's early here in Hua Hin,
my internal clock is a few hours out of whack.
It has been a few long days, but when I go to the pool this morning,
it will all be worth it.
Coffee in hand, camera in hand,
it will be down to the beach to catch the sunrise
like this one I took last year.
The morning turned clear,
the snow has disappeared on the golf course,
surely a sign that spring must be on its way.
Still feeling the cold.
My Cindy said,
"I have lost my mountain badge."
I fear she is right!

Luckily we still have 28 days before we fly home.
We plan to make the best of these next 4 weeks.
I got up early to capture the sun rise.
It was one of those special moments in time when
I saw a saffron robed monk walk up the beach to collect his alms.
As he walked back, he gave me a sweet smile that felt
like a blessing.
I gave him one of my sweetest smiles back.
A moment I will always treasure.
I can't seem to get that song out of my mind.
I just love how much passion Adele
has put into that song.
Seems like the sunrise is a perfect time to listen to her
music and that song.
This year our condo is looking into the pool
as opposed to the ocean as it was in Panama.
I do miss seeing the magical sunrise and sunsets.
This morning I got up early as I usually do and walked over to the ocean as not to miss the sunrise.
Seeing that we are starting to get more light every day,
watching the sunrise makes it even more special.
I had fun this morning playing around with these photos

With a hint of rain as well as some wispy clouds
in the sky,
this morning's sunrise was spectacular.

a few different looks.
