It all in the details...

Morning coffee on our deck makes our trip planning such a treat.

The devil is in the details.

Just enough planning to get us there with all the necessary visa's and of course, our passports.

Not planning every single day, leaving it open to change and spontaneity.

In 3 months, we really have the opportunity to travel and see

a lot of the country.

Not getting tied down to one place, but enough time in each place

to suit our purpose.

Each person has a different list of the things they want to see.

This book sure hits a lot on my list.

From AZ...to Utah.

Today was beautiful & clear.

A perfect start to our drive back to BC.

635 miles later, we are resting in Nephi, Utah

before heading off again tomorrow morning.

We should be home Easter Sunday.

I took all these photos thru the windshield

with my IPhone as we were traveling

this route.

Moving on...

Jim and I have been coming back to Arizona each

Fall and Winter Season

for the past 10 years.

We have made some wonderful friends, had great fun,

gone on many road trips, picnicked, hiked and truly enjoyed our time here.

We decided this summer that we wanted to do more traveling,

explore new countries, see how the rest of the

world lives.

We sold our home here in 4 hours, we turn over the keys today.

Luckily, our friends gave us their home just down the street to

use until we leave for Panama on January 4th.

Instead of just staying a month, now we have a chance to really

enjoy our time there.

We will be spending 3 months.

We are excited on this new phase in our life.

Who knows in which country we will end up in for our

winter months.

My love for globes and maps...

I have been collecting globes and maps

for some time.

They fuel my love for travel.

So many places to explore, so many more places to visit.

Stay tuned for the next

adventure.

"You are still young… Do yourself a favor.

Before it’s too late, without thinking too much about it first, pack a pillow and a blanket and see as much of the world as you can.

You will not regret it. One day it will be too late."

Travelling to Panama

We are heading to Panama for the month of January 2012 ...we have rented a condo on the beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean..we will have a car and plan to explore the country in the month that we are there...it has always been one of the countries we had hoped to visit...
Both Jim and I we are really excited about this new adventure.
I am planning on continuing to blog and take lots of photos..
I am sure I will constantly be amazed by the country and its people.

Panama is the southernmost of the Central American nations, Panama is south of Costa Rica and north of Colombia. The Panama Canal bisects the isthmus at its narrowest and lowest point, allowing passage from the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean. Panama is slightly smaller than South Carolina. It is marked by a chain of mountains in the west, moderate hills in the interior, and a low range on the east coast. There are extensive forests in the fertile Caribbean area.
