5.2.16

Saturday..

Today we are off for another excellent adventure.

I will share the details and photos tomorrow.

There is this beautiful tree at the pool.

It has the most amazing flowers and seed pods on it.

The flowers are very fragile and look the like they have little lights

at the end of their stems.

I will continue my research and find the name of this tree.

Enjoying our new condo...

It's quiet, on the beach, has several restaurants, a beach bar,

thick lounge cushions, beautiful pools

and so far, no loud people.

The beach is so much wider here, so we can walk as soon as the tide recedes.

We are planning on exploring the little side streets in the next few days

to see what new little restaurants we can find.

No major adventures planned here until we head south to Koh Samui

in a month from now.

However, we are always open to do something spontaneous.

To all of you who love the snow and where you are,

I am happy, truly happy for you.

But I was born with a suitcase heart and there are just too many places

I still need to see to stay in one spot too long.

Around the pool..

As with any warm weather holiday

a lot of our daily activities happen around the pool.

The condo here at Baan San Suk has a wonderful series of pools

stretching from the lobby to the ocean.

It's a good place to meet people, find out about a new restaurant,

find where to buy tonic for your gin, or just sit and read.

Depending on the tide,

you can leave the pool area and go for a walk in either direction.

Your days start have a rhythm and pattern, always leaving room

for spontaneity.

Hua Hin

This small little town grew into the resort town that it is now with a population of 85,000 people.

It means "Row of Rocks"

It has a large shopping mall plus lots of small

shops and restaurants.

They have an inexpensive way to get around.

You just flag down these truck taxis, pay 30 cents and you are get drivenaround in the back of these

trucks with benchs on both sides.

I will try and get a few photos tomorrow.

Here are a few photos just around our condo.

We are so going to enjoy our 6 weeks at this place.

Tuesday, Day 2...Panama

It was a day to unpack,

go for an early morning walk on the beach, coffee on the balcony

as well as catching up on emails and

our friends who live here or are like us,

back again.

Finished our lovely, warm and breezy day having a

beer watching the sunset.

Truly, it does not get much better than this!

Bracelets that formed a friendship....

Who would of thought a small gesture

such as crocheting a bracelet

could bring people together poolside.

That is just what we did.

Maggie and her family left to go back to Canada.

Connie (Maggie's mother) along with her husband Joe,

invited us for a wonderful

Portuguese

dinner last night.

Mike, Kelly, Alfonso and {Fern, missing from photo}

get to stay a while longer.

Connie will be crocheting bracelets for her

grandchildren

Mia and Tristan while she is here.

As my dear friend, Christa knows,

they love their bracelets so much, they always ask for just one more!

Mikey,

I had such fun making all those for you!
