To all the dads out there,
Happy Father's Day.
May your day be filled with phone calls, photos from the kids in your life...
your own or others.
May you be spoiled by the ones that love you.

Water, water everywhere.
Sandbags line the waterfront, both here in West Kelowna
as well as in Peachland where we walk.
It is helping keeping the flooding at bay.
The weather forecast is a bit cooler for the next few days which should
slow down the melt.
Looking at the bright side, when all the water goes back to normal levels,
they will have lots more sand on their sandy beaches.
It has been such a dreary spring.
Fog, rain, wind, low cloud cover, more rain and wind.
I know it is flooding in many places, even here we had had power poles knocked out and flooding.
Happy to report we will have a week of sunshine.
We didn't want to miss a chance to go on a picnic,
this sunny day by the lake was perfect.
A little crocheting, taking some photos, enjoying the lake.
It was a wonderful day.
Life just keeps getting better.
Happy Birthday, Jimmy.
I hope we share many many more
healthy and happy years together!
This mornings walk was so interesting
as there were a lot of young Panamanian families here.
They spend their weekends swimming in the ocean
as well as hanging under the shade in their
Palapyas.
It always amazes me to see how fearless
their young children are
in these ocean waves.
They learn to swim very early here.
Looking very fit and tanned indeed!
It was a day to unpack,
go for an early morning walk on the beach, coffee on the balcony
as well as catching up on emails and
our friends who live here or are like us,
back again.
Finished our lovely, warm and breezy day having a
beer watching the sunset.
Truly, it does not get much better than this!
Looking back, these 25 years have
passed so quickly.
Jim and I have blessed with love, good health, happiness,
a loving family, great friends,
as well as many interests to keep us young.
Our bond has been based on love and friendship that continues
stronger to this day.
We had a quiet day, a windy and cool walk along the water
as well as catching up with our friends.
After these last two weeks of traveling,
a restful day was a perfect
way to celebrate.
My thanks to my sweet and dear friend Christa for
standing beside me on this special day
all those years ago.
I cherish our friendship.
A glass of champagne
will be raised to toast many more happy years together
ahead for us.
Love these last few days of August.
Enjoying a picnic
just a bit south of Summerland,
on Okanagan Lake.
Those of you who know my husband
Jim,
you know that he has a sweet tooth and can ferret out a bakery
from miles away.
He has been successful here in Panama.
Delightfully so!
