She is a sweet, funny, happy little girl.
This angel costume really
sums her up, however, she does have a bit of a
mischievous streak about her.
Happy Halloween!

Windows washed,
groceries in fridge, house dusted.
Enjoying early morning coffee outside in the
filtered light.
Planning our first hike early Saturday morning.
Having friends drop by to say hello.
Just letting the day unfold.
It was literally one of the hottest summer here in
Arizona.
Record high tempetures, major dust storms
as well torrential rains.
In our development,
the wind uprooted many well established
large trees.
We have a walled garden. Safely sheltered from
the more brutal elements.
The garden is lush and green,
it is amazing how little water we use because we planted many
native and desert plants.
It was a wise move more than 7 summers ago
when we bought and had our
home built.
My banners have become faded,
however, they still dance happily in the breeze.
The final day driving is always more
relaxing, as we almost
always never travel as far on the last day.
We left Las Vegas at 5:30 and arrived here
close to 1:30, travelling
345 miles.
By the time we stopped for breakfast,
gas and lunch, the day was pretty full.
We got all the things out of the car, put out the outdoor
cushions and got the fountain running.
The garden looks lovely.
Tomorrow we will enjoy having our coffee outside.
Here are a few windshield photos,
mostly just the desert as well and some huge and amazing
boulder formations.
Another good day of driving behind us.
637 miles, just over 11 hours on the road.
We share the driving, although Jim puts on a lot more miles than I do.
I am the entertainment director as well as the navigator.
I did drive today, thru pouring rain, fog,
as well as some snow showers with
1degree Celsius.
That soon passed and we spent most of the day in pleasant weather.
Leaving Vegas tomorrow for our home in San Tan Valley,
Arizona.
Here are a few windshield photos.
We headed out early,
picked up lunch along the way and put in an audible book and listened to
"Thunder Point".
It is written by
Jack Higgins
It seemed that 614 miles slipped away and we arrived at Boise
after driving just over 12 hours.
The weather was pretty deary and overcast most of the way but then gave in with a few moments of
glorious sunshine.
Windshield photos.
In 1968 I had a chance to travel across the USA and live in NY state.
I took that chance and that trip filled me with wanderlust..
I traveled with our family friend,
Helen Cox
in her green 1968 VW Camper Van.
We travelled to Victoria,
down the Washington, Oregon & California coasts
We travelled all across the USA, ending up at her home in
Pawling, New York.
I wish I still have my travel map and the journals
of that trip,
however, I do have all those memories.
Tomorrow, Jim and I head out to some new adventures on our horizons.
The wanderlust has never left me.
I had a few extra hours today, playing down in the
craft room.
I finished sewing little
"Miss Camilla Doe's"
dress and leggings as well as making a few necklaces for them.
"Miss Katherine Hepburn"
was finished a while back, but only today was fully dressed,
ready to join the others.
I will keep them all here in BC.
I am sure I will be making a few more to giveaway as gifts.
This week I have spent my time well, tidying up the house,
the outdoor pots, cutting back any perennials,
putting the garden to rest as we are getting ready to head to
Arizona for the winter,
on Saturday.
Usually by this time we would have been there already.Going a bit later has given us more time to enjoy these last few weeks of October.
It used to feel strange not seeing all our personal stuff for nearly 6 months, but because we have another home, different friends,
it is always an adventure.
We take a couple days to drive there, as it is 1662 miles between our two homes. We always try to take a different route,
but after 10 years, we know most of the roads quite well.
We are always in the lookout to see something we might have missed in previous trips.
Walking along the lakeshore in Peachland is one of our favorite places for a brisk walk.
I think it is because
"Bliss Bakery"
is there.
Their baking is amazing, a great reward every once in a while.
Record highs all over BC.
Happy to enjoy being outside, finishing up cleaning up the outside
planters and flower pots.
Claire spent a sunny afternoon at
Art Knapps Garden Centre
enjoying the rides.
She sent me a sweet little emojis texts.
Love this little girl!
Thanks to my Cindy for
her generosity
over the years in helping me
increase
my collection.
